Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Saigon Learning Center ("we," "us," or "the center") is an online tutoring business registered in Texas, providing personalized online tutoring to K–12 students throughout the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our online tutoring platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English because we want you to actually understand it.
This policy is a draft and is pending review by an attorney. We will update this page if anything changes.
Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to run tutoring sessions and manage your account:
- Parent account information — name, email address, and login credentials for the parent or guardian who creates the account.
- Student profile information — the student's name, grade level, and subjects, entered and managed by the parent.
- Scheduling and session records — session dates, times, attendance, tutor notes, and session summaries.
- Payment records — records of purchased session packages and manual payments (such as Zelle, cash, or check) that we log to your account. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Homework and progress data — assignments, completed work, and progress tracking tied to a student profile.
How we use your information
- To schedule and run 1-on-1 tutoring sessions (held via Google Meet).
- To track session credits, payments, and account balances.
- To show parents their children's attendance, homework, and progress.
- To generate session summaries, homework, and progress reports, including with AI tools.
- To communicate with you about scheduling, billing, and your student's progress.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Children's information
Students do not create their own accounts. A parent or guardian creates the account, manages each child's student profile, and controls the information stored about their child. We collect only the student information a parent chooses to provide, and we use it solely to deliver tutoring services. Parents can review their children's data at any time through the parent dashboard and can contact us through the account dashboard to request corrections or deletion.
Video sessions
Tutoring sessions are held over Google Meet. Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to the use of Google Meet itself. We store the session details (time, tutor, attendance, and notes) in our platform so parents can see a record of each session.
AI features
Our platform includes AI-powered features such as homework generation, a study assistant, and session summaries. These are educational support tools: they can make mistakes, and their output is not a substitute for a tutor's judgment. Relevant session and homework information may be processed by the AI services that power these features in order to generate results for your account.
How we protect your data
Your data is stored securely and access is controlled by role: parents can see only their own children's data, tutors can see only the students they teach, and administrative access is limited to the center's staff. We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted connections and authenticated access, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
Your choices
- You can view and update your account and student profiles from your dashboard.
- You can ask us to correct or delete your family's information by contacting us through your account dashboard.
- If you close your account, we will delete or de-identify your data except for records we need to keep for accounting or legal purposes.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify parents through the platform.
